Among the hero skills, there are wide area skills that give damage to all monsters at the same time. Use them to effectively deal with the monsters.

Hunter: Poison Shot (Unlock at level 5)

Sorcerer: Fireball (Unlock at level 20)

When multiple monsters appear, crafting and merging should be on hold, as it is more important to focus on battle at hand.
