What are the features of each firearm?
Survivors use one of the four firearm types.
1. Handgun
While low on firepower, rate of fire and magazine capacity, the handgun makes up with shorter reload speed and light weight which lead to faster movement for the Survivor.
Faster movement is useful for dodging fast zombies.
Shorter reload speed offers more consistent combat condition.
2. Shotgun
The shotgun is specialized for close-range combat and against zombies in large numbers.
Reload speed and rate of fire may be slow, but its firepower is the most powerful of all weapons.
Using the shotgun, 3 to 4 zombies can be eliminated in one shot and cause serious damages to zombies with more health.
Unlike other firearms, the shotgun gets weaker with increased distances, so shooting zombies at close range is recommended.
3. Assault Rifle
The assault rifle is the most balanced gun in features, which is good for beginners who getting used to the controls.
It has a high rate of fire with more bullets per magazine than other guns. However due to strong recoil, its accuracy drops significantly with continuous firing.
Some assault rifles offer 2 or 3 burst shots when shot normally. Unlike the continuous shots, the burst shots are accurate which can cause serious damage to the zombies.
With its decent performance, it has no clear advantage nor disadvantage over other guns.
4. Sniper Rifle
Sniper rifle is the most powerful weapon of all when its shots are all made as headshots.
With its high penetration power, zombies in its line of fire will get a taste of hell. However, due to the heavy weight, the movement speed and reload time suffer.
The sniper rifle may not be a suitable weapon for an unskilled user, but it will the most effective weapon for those who are proficient.
